One place for the answers you've been missing
A-Z Sleep & Airway Center is a sleep-only practice in Glen Allen, Virginia, led by Dr. Ashlee Goodman-Tabari. We screen adults and children for snoring, sleep apnea and upper airway resistance syndrome, arrange a home sleep test read by a sleep physician, and make custom oral appliances that we follow up and retest.
Too many people spend years blaming their exhaustion, headaches, or high blood pressure on everything but the real cause. Dr. Ashlee Goodman-Tabari founded A-Z Sleep & Airway Center to change that. It's a single place where you can be screened, tested, and treated for sleep apnea, snoring, and airway problems, without bouncing between offices. If you've ever wondered whether your sleep is working against your health, this is where you find out.

Why patients choose A-Z Sleep & Airway Center
- 01
A Dedicated Sleep Practice
Better sleep changes everything, so it's the only thing we focus on here. We screen for and treat sleep and airway problems in both adults and children, giving your concerns our full attention so nothing about your sleep gets overlooked.
- 02
A CPAP Alternative Only a Dentist Can Make
If you can't tolerate your CPAP, there is another path. We create custom oral appliances that treat mild to moderate sleep apnea without the mask, hose, or noise. Only a dentist can make one.
- 03
Testing You Do at Home
No wires, no lab, no sleeping in a strange room. Your sleep test is a simple wearable device, like a watch, that you use in your own bed, and results come back to us the next day so you get answers fast.
- 04
Care Coordinated With Your Doctors
We work alongside sleep physicians and keep your primary care doctor in the loop. Every appliance is backed by a real diagnosis and follow-up testing, so you know your treatment is actually working.
Four steps from tired to rested
Getting answers about your sleep shouldn't mean bouncing between offices. Here's how it goes with us.
- 1

Talk it through
We go over your symptoms and sleep history, look at your bite and airway, and answer every question before you decide on anything.
- 2

Test at home
You wear a small device to bed for the night, in your own bed. No lab and no wires across the room.
- 3

Get a real diagnosis
A sleep physician reads your study and makes the diagnosis. We coordinate that step for you, so you aren't chasing appointments.
- 4

Treat it, then check it
If an oral appliance is right for you, we design it from a 3D scan, fit it, and retest to make sure it's working.

A calm place to sort out your sleep
Our office sits inside the Shops at Cross Ridge, just off Staples Mill Road with easy parking right outside. You will not feel rushed here. We take time to walk you through what's happening while you sleep, show you what treatment looks like, and answer every question before you decide on anything.

When your child's sleep seems off
Kids don't always show tiredness the way adults do. Snoring most nights, breathing through the mouth, restless sleep, bedwetting or trouble focusing during the day can all be worth a closer look.
We see children as well as adults, and we work with your pediatrician and your child's other doctors so everyone is on the same page.
We accept all medical insurance
We accept all medical insurance, including Cigna, Tricare, UnitedHealthcare and Medicare. Sleep and airway care is a medical service, so it is billed through your medical insurance, not dental, even though we make oral devices. We handle the billing for you and verify your benefits before treatment, so you know exactly what to expect.

Common questions about sleep care in Glen Allen
Is A-Z Sleep & Airway Center a dental office?
No. We're a sleep-only practice in Glen Allen, so there are no cleanings or dental treatment here. Dr. Goodman-Tabari is a dentist, and at A-Z Sleep her focus is snoring, sleep apnea and airway problems, including custom oral appliances that only a dentist can make.
Who diagnoses sleep apnea?
A sleep physician does. Dr. Goodman-Tabari is a dentist, so she doesn't diagnose sleep apnea herself. After your home sleep test, a sleep physician reads the results and makes the diagnosis, and our Glen Allen team coordinates that step so you aren't left chasing appointments.
How does the home sleep test work?
You wear a small device while you sleep in your own bed: a band like a watch, a finger clip and a sticker on your chest. It syncs with your phone and the results come back to us. As Dr. Goodman-Tabari says, if you can put on a watch, you can do it.
Is an oral appliance an alternative to CPAP?
For many people with mild to moderate obstructive sleep apnea, or who can't tolerate CPAP, a custom oral appliance is an option. It's worn like a retainer and holds your jaw forward at night. For severe sleep apnea, CPAP is still the standard of care, and we'll tell you if it fits you better.
Will my medical insurance cover it?
We accept all medical insurance, including Cigna, Tricare, UnitedHealthcare and Medicare. Sleep care is billed through medical insurance, not dental, even though a dentist makes the appliance. Coverage depends on your plan, so our Glen Allen team verifies your benefits before treatment and walks you through what to expect. Financing through Cherry is also available if you'd like to spread out the cost.
Do you see children?
Yes, we see children as well as adults. Snoring, mouth breathing, restless sleep, bedwetting or trouble focusing can all be signs worth checking. We screen your child at our Glen Allen office and work with your pediatrician and other doctors on the right next step.
How do I know my appliance is working?
We don't hand you a device and send you off. Once your appliance is fitted and adjusted, we arrange a follow-up sleep test in Glen Allen to confirm your breathing and oxygen have improved, and we keep adjusting until they have.
How to find our Glen Allen sleep office
You'll find us inside the Shops at Cross Ridge, just off Staples Mill Road, between the eye doctor and the veterinary clinic. There's plenty of parking right out front, so getting in and out for your appointment is easy.
